Wedding Dress Cake

I did this one for a friend of mine for her wedding shower - I told her about a year ago that I would make her wedding cake and had never done a fondant cake before...so, she is basically the reason I started doing cakes!  Her wedding is in August and I will be doing a CAKE POP wedding cake for it!!

Strawberry Macarons: new addition to my repertoire!

The more blogs I read, the more I see people making macarons.  They look so pretty and delicate that I just HAD to try.  Not as easy as one might think.  I probably watched about 10 different tutorials, all with different information.  Finally I found one that worked, but you MUST pay great attention to detail!!  Anyways, I think my second attempt turned out pretty well!

Hummingbird cake

This cake was made for a young girl who loves hummingbirds...and Cake Boss - I was quite flattered she wanted me to make her cake!  

Wedding Cupcake Tower

I am so thrilled that I finally got to do a wedding!  This one was for a kindergarten teacher who I worked with this year.  I think it turned out pretty well!

Pink Ruffle cake

A very girly buttercream ruffle cake I did for a good friend of mine! It also had edible glitter all over the top but it doesn't show much in the pictures.

Grade 7 Graduation Cupcake Tower

Well of course I HAD to do something special for my very special grade 7 students!!  So I made this cupcake tower for their grade 7 graduation this month.  Our school kind of makes a HUGE deal over this event, and this year was probably the best, I would have to say.  Our theme was "Masquerade" and the colours were purple and red (obviously).  My super artsy students made the cupcake pics.
